What is Remote Rescue?
Remote Rescue (also known as remote computer support) allows us to remotely fix your computer via “desktop sharing technology”. This means you log in to our secure online support center and we interact with your computer remotely via the web. Because we connect to your computer over a secure internet connection you must be able to connect to the internet. If you cannot connect to the internet our Walk-In Support is the option for you.


Why would I want to use Remote Rescue?
With Remote Rescue we can connect to your computer almost instantly. This means that we can help you now, no drive time required. And since we don't have to drive to your location we can offer this service at a reduced price compared to our Walk-In Support.


Is Remote Rescue Safe / Secure?
Yes. When you log into our online support center, you are initiating a 128-bit encrypted connection between your computer and one of our computers (this is the same technology and security level that is used by Banks, Credit Cards companies etc.). This is a One-to-one session that can not be accessed or viewed by anybody else. This type of connection ensures your security and privacy.


Will I lose control of my computer?
No. During the Remote Rescue session you are in control the whole time. You are the only person who can initiate a session by logging in and you can end a session at any time by simply closing the support window. Furthermore, you still have control of your mouse (cursor) and keyboard. During a session you will see us using the cursor to locate and fix problems, but, at any time, you can override our actions by simply moving your mouse.


Can you connect to my computer once the session is over?
No. Once the session is over we cannot reconnect to your computer until you authorize another session and log back in.
In depth explanation: When you use our service you will be prompted to accept a temporary desktop sharing application. This application allows us to interact with your computer. When you log off or simply close the temporary application will automatically delete itself from your computer. We can no longer interact with, or access your computer.


I use an Apple Macintosh, can you support it?
Yes. Our Remote Rescue software works equally as well with Apple computers.


Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. Our computer repair service is guaranteed for 5 (five) days. If you subsequently encounter the same problem within 5 days of the original session, you must notify us immediately and we will work to remedy the problem quickly and professionally.
